What’s this all about, then?

First steps are always the hardest, so knowing what to write for the first post of the blog caused me to scratch my head. What could I possibly tell you that would catch your attention long enough? – I could give an introduction to myself and my artwork, but you can see all that on my about page anyway. I’ll throw in an image here though, cause I think that might help give you a really quick idea of what my artwork is all about.

What can I tell you that you don’t already know?

At the tail end if 2018 I took a big-olde internet break so that I could rethink my directions and my artwork and I’m now here, at the start of 2019 reinvigorated and ready to take on the challenges that reimagined ideas have revealed.

My goals for this year feel pretty big – to me at least – I am working on producing a colouring book! The first physical object featuring my artwork. The idea is in its very early concepts, but I was so excited about the prospects that I had to blurt it out and share it with you! It’s what is driving me right now! I’ll share some of the artwork I produce for it in future blogs and keep you updated with the project as I go.

I have a couple of other ideas as well, such as displaying my work in a local coffee shop in which I am a semi-regular. Again, this is an early steps idea but I’m pretty excited about it. There is also the prospects of creating and selling personal greetings card packs and individual prints via etsy as well; but I am somewhat hesitant about this currently.

I have always been a keen internet user and can certainly see the value of promoting myself here I would rather turn my ideas from web-based sharing to real-world sharing and news; this is a new and somewhat scary revelation for me so lots of tips and advice from my more experienced peers would be most wonderful!
