I’ve been working more and more with one of my earliest characters, Torquemada. He has been developing his own story at a somewhat alarming rate! I’ve always seen him as a means to cope with darker thoughts and internal anguish. Something wicked that manipulates the mind into thinking all manner of unspeakable things.
It’s great fun to be able to dip into these darker notions from an artistic point of view! I am more than happy to see that he has been rearing his ugly head again.
This picture was sketched by hand with a pencil on paper, scanned in and digitally rendered in a program called FireAlpaca. I believe I streamed the completion of this via Twitch, which is a relatively new things for me to be trying out but highly enjoyable and gives me a new way to connect with people. If it’s your thing, then please subscribe to my channel. I’m not a very regular/consistent streamer at the moment due to it being the Summer Holidays, but I do aim to go live more often in the near future.

Pretty cool character. I always wondered how people made digital drawings. I figured it was a drawing pad or something. Pencil and paper all the way to digital is kinda cool!
