On the back of my Hobby Motivation post, I managed to get this little critter finished off.
He is a Raygun Raptor and he appeared in my Festive Mystery Box from We Print Miniatures. The first of my backlog to get cleared – although he hasn’t really been there that long.
As I said in my previous post, sometimes it’s nice to be able to work on a model that doesn’t fit anywhere else or have any specific requirements in terms of paint scheme.
Speaking of which, I had no idea how to paint this guy, other than to try to avoid using red! So, I did a good-olde-google search for ‘Toy Dinosaurs’ because I was after something fun and colourful. This pack came up pretty quickly in the search and there was one that stood out as something I wanted to try out – I think it’s obvious which one!
Although, mine did somehow turn out looking more like a Double Decker than I first anticipated! I’m not complaining, Double Deckers are delicious!
This is the first 3D printed miniature I’ve painted. I don’t know what I was expecting, but the quality of it was so much better than I thought it would be!
So, 1/75 in the backlog done. I’ll have to get the Kiddo to decide which one is next to tackle!
