I shamelessly stole this idea from Alli the Book Giraffe, I’m sorry I don’t feel guilty about it though, as she took it from elsewhere and the cycle of meme-stealing continues! I think it’s a neat idea to help keep me focused on the bookish aspect of my blog. A bit like how Model Monday helps with the hobby side of things!
What are you reading?
Amok – Sebastian Fitzek
“Good morning, Berlin. It’s 7.35 AM. And you’re listening to your biggest nightmare.”
From the Blurb: ” A psychopath has taken over the city’s leading radio station and is holding everyone inside hostage. For each hostage, he calls a number from the phonebook, at random. If they answer with a specific slogan, a hostage goes free. If they don’t, a hostage dies.”
I was invited to read Amok by Sebastian Fitzek by publisher Head of Zeus via NetGalley. I’m attempting to cut down on the NetGalley TBR list. I am currently about 20% of the way through it and it’s a great, exciting thriller so far.
What did you read last?
The Shadow People – Graham Masterton
Another of my outstanding NetGalley Reads. Although, this one I requested right after picking up Amok – I adore Graham Mastertons work and was so excited to be approved to read this book; also published by Head of Zeus.
I have a review written for this book already and it’ll be up on the blog tomorrow.
It’s a book filled with graphic violence, body horror, personal trauma, cannibals and spiritual horror. If all that’s your sort of thing then I urge you to give this book a try, but if you’re not convinced yet then give the review a read tomorrow.
What will you read next?
Flesh and Steel – Guy Haley
I feel like it has been a while since I picked up a Black Library publication and I’ve a heap of the Warhammer Crime series to read though. I’ve enjoyed the previous offerings of the sub-centre for Black Library and I’m looking forward to picking up a full novel again, rather than an anthology collection.
I don’t want to completely set this book in stone though, as there are a plethora of other books that I have on my reading list that I’d like to try and cross off my list too!
One response to “3W Wednesday – 29th Sept”
I’ve heard it called WWW Wednesday and always enjoyed the few times I did it. Something cathartic is getting those 3 options written down…
