For the sharp-eyed amongst you, you’ll see that I’ve changed up the headings, the URL, and rebranded. I’m not 100% convinced about the changes, maybe it’s a little too corporate/professional looking compared to how I write. But I needed the change. I’ve some goals in mind for the blog for further down the line and I’ll only achieve them if I put things into action now. So, I am counting it all as a step in the right direction.
Anyway, onto the weekly questions!
What are you reading?

Sharpe’s Eagle – Bernard Cornwell
The 8th book in the Sharpe series (in publication order) I’ve only gotten a few pages into the book so far, so can’t really give much of my opinion on it just yet. I’ve really enjoyed all the other books in the series though. So, no doubt will find something to enjoy about this one too – by now, I think I know what I am letting myself in for!
What did you read last?

Luther: First of the Fallen – Gav Thorpe
A thoroughly enjoyable read about Luther of the Order. I’ve only read two books in the Horus Heresy that feature the Dark Angels, but they are a chapter that has long been of interest, so when I found a copy of this book in the Nottingham Games Workshop store, I picked it up – not only to go in the collection – but because I was eager to learn more about the Traitor aspect of the Dark Angels. I was not disappointed. Full review is pending
What will you read next?

The Death of Vivek Oji – Akawaeke Emezi
It’s either this or Know no Fear with Dave, depending on how the reading schedule for us both goes. I was brought a copy of The Death of Vivek Oji by Bookstooge in return for the avatar I made for him and I’d really like to read this while it’s fresh in my mind – but Sharpe won my Instagram Poll, so needs must and all that!!

I am still a while away from completing my current NG read, but keen on starting Know no fear. Also having not blogged in a month and having to play catch is getting tricky. But like i stated in my last mail, lets see around the tenth on KnF? Im not on insta or twitter so lucky i do not have pressure from those things.

Around the 10th for KnF sounds good to me! I’ll try and finish up my reads before then.
I know how you feel about playing catch up, it feels like a near-constant thing with WP.
Thankfully, I don’t feel pressure from Twitter or IG, they’re just… there. I tend to put more pressure on myself to update the blog and keep things going here – but that’s only because I love it the most!

So you are up to book 8 for Sharpe. I just finished up the second book and I have to ask, is Sharpe still an immoral ass hole with the world’s worst attitude like in book 2?

I’ve enjoyed all of the Sharpe books I’ve read so far. Theres a dodgy one where he is at sea that feels a bit out of place but I did feel they improved after he leaves India.
The general attitude sticks around though, for better or worse!

Thanks for letting me know. I’ll have to see if his attitude bothers me as much when I read book 3. Because it really got to me during this second book.
